We are responsive by phone and in the field. We are available at all times via office and cell phone numbers, as well as by email and text messages. We also have access to our business system either at the office or remotely.

Product Availability

We will stock locally the necessary and critical inventory to serve our customers in a timely manner. We also rely on our vendor based inventory to save on transaction costs and ship to our customers directly. This results in savings, faster service, and more complete orders for our customers.

Our Team

Thomas vonHillebrandt

/ Sales and Customer Service, and Administration /

Born and raised in Puerto Rico by American and German parents. After graduating from university and working many Summers doing inventory and helping at the sales counter, Thomas knew that he wanted to join the family business, INRUMEC. Worked through all the positions in Sales and Operations and eventually managed the overall business after his father’s retirement in 1996. Through great team work he grew the business to 4 Branch Operations including the Central Distribution Center in Gurabo, PR. Expanded sales organically and through acquisitions from Hoses and Belting to Fluid Power, Fluid Connectors, Instrumentation, Material Handling, and Packaging Machinery. Transacted the sale of INRUMEC to Kaman Industrial Technologies in 2008 and introduced Power Transmission to INRUMEC’s array of products. After being released at the end of 2014 and taking a year off, he became reenergized and launched Alfa Process LLC in early 2016. Served on supplier advisory councils and numerous boards including NAHAD as President in 2005 and PR’s Association for the Aggregate Industry, AIPA. Thomas values the most working with a great team of people and interacting daily with vendors and customers.

Jacqueline Melendez

/ Sales, Customer Service, and Administration /

Born in New Jersey but moved back to her roots in Puerto Rico in her teenage years. In PR Jacky went to High School and graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. After working in accounting and banking she joined CPI Controls in Caguas, Puerto Rico in 1999 and started her career in Customer Service and Inside Sales in the Industrial Field. At CPI the sales focus was in Hygienic and Industrial Stainless Steel Tubing, Pipe, Fittings, and Valves, and she soon became knowledgeable with these products. With CPI’s acquisition by INRUMEC in 2005 she expanded her knowledge to Hoses and Fluid Connector Sales and later with INRUMEC’s sale to Kaman Industrial Technologies in 2008 she learned further of Power Transmission and Material Handling products. In 2014 she was promoted to Inside Sales Manager but later decided to join the startup of Alfa Process in 2016 and get back to her core strength in Sales and Customer Service for Hygienic and Sanitary Tubing, Fittings, and Valves. Jacky enjoys the most interacting daily with customers and vendors to provide solutions and alternatives to help customers grow and manage their operations.
